With a history spanning over three decades, The Vella Group has become synonymous with quality service and repairs, and in 2021 they were one of the first independent repair groups to become carbon neutral.
This commitment to working sustainably and delivering safe and efficient repairs was a driving force behind The Vella Group's decision to install the high-performance Sikkens Autowave 2.0 paint system across seven of its UK bodyshops.
The Autowave system will increase efficiency by reducing application time and solvent emissions, helping The Vella Group maintain its PAS2060 accreditation and boost its sustainable business performance.
AkzoNobel's outstanding product training and technical support also played a crucial part in The Vella Group's decision to switch to Sikkens.
Anthony Gee, Operations Manager at The Vella Group Skelmersdale, said: "Introducing the Sikkens Autowave system to our sites has made a real difference to our paint operations.
"The quality of the product, combined with the excellent technical support and training from AkzoNobel, has helped reduce paint process time and increased accuracy and reliability of paint application. The Sikkens product is excellent, with support only a phone call away."
Darren McComb, Regional Sales Manager for AkzoNobel's Automotive and Speciality Coatings business, added: "The installation process was a real success due to the capabilities of our technical team and the long-standing relationship we've built with The Vella Group.
"It is a pleasure for AkzoNobel to be partnering with such a market-leading bodyshop group in the UK, and we look forward to growing this partnership and providing The Vella Group with ongoing business and technical support."
