As VDA/Support you will initially be working under the supervision of a qualified/experienced estimator until you are ready to work on your own, either by your natural progression or by qualifications achieved. This progression will be discussed as part of your regular reviews. Once an agreed level of competence has been reached you will then be responsible for assessing the type and extent of damage to vehicles. You will determine if the vehicle can be repaired and the work that needs to be carried out, while adhering to contractual and repair methodology guidelines using the appropriate estimating system.
While working as Support you will be required to purchase placement parts as per estimate and any additional parts as per authority of the Site Manager. You may be required to issue parts to the workshop as per job sheets while checking all parts received against an order. You will also be required to check incoming parts to ensure they are not damaged and the price is correct and storing new parts correctly to minimise the risk of damage.
