We focus our efforts on ensuring we are continually evolving to address environmental issues and make sure we are fit for the future.
We began investing in energy efficiency back in 2011 when we joined forces with the Carbon Trust to acquire funding to modify our equipment. We worked to make our spraybooths and compressors more energy efficient and produce less waste.
Our proof-of-concept site at Deeside, near Chester, saw us introduce environmentally friendly features across the board. Across our newer sites we have electric charging points, waste friendly facilities, new lighting, and efficiently controlled heating.
In 2021, we also became officially Carbon Neutral. Our PAS 2060 accreditation made us one of the first independent repair groups across the UK to achieve this at all our sites.
All our technicians are trained to repair electric vehicles and will continue to expand their learning to incorporate new technologies.
Our technicians have undergone rigorous training and assessment to ensure we provide the best service, use the best equipment, and employ the best methods to safely repair electric vehicles back to manufacturer standard.
PAS 2060 is the internationally recognised specification for carbon neutrality and builds on the existing PAS 2050 environmental standard. It sets out requirements for quantification, reduction, and offsetting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for organisations, products, and events.
Every week for the last 30 years, The Vella Group has repaired hundreds of damaged vehicles to the industry's highest safety standards and are constantly looking for new talent to join the team.
